Twin Pregnancy - Week 34

Hot damn! We made it to week 34! Last week at our ultrasound our fetal doctor told us that "We made it" and that we should be having these babies between now and 36 weeks! It's sooooo exciting! I think she's anxious for these babies to be born because BabyA is lagging behind BabyB a bit. Also, there's signs that the placenta is starting to get old. There's no immediate reason to induce labor or anything, so it's still up in the air as to when these babies are coming!

I spoke with my OB the next day, and she is not eager for the babies to be born this early, although she would not stop labor at this point. She wants to let them stay in as long as possible as long as there's no reason to get them out. She also noticed that my feet and ankles are getting swollen, and I've noticed swelling in my fingers (can't get my wedding ring on anymore!). This could be a sign of something called preeclampsia, which is a serious condition and the babies would need to come out right away if I have it. Since I have no other symptoms, I'm just going to get checked again next week.

Will I go into labor soon? Will my water break? (or, to be more precise, will one of my two "waters" break?) Will labor need to be induced early because of a complication? Will I need a caesarian? When??? I'm driving myself crazy wondering about everything. I'm trying to get my mind off if it but it's so hard! I could be a mom any day now!

This will be my last week at work before officially taking maternity leave. I'm not physically *at* work, I'm still working from home, but I'm still excited to put all my work stuff aside for three months.

I am really starting to hate being pregnant. I was planning on getting to the end with a smile on my face, but nope, I've lost patience with the situation and I just can't wait for it to end. I am pretty much always uncomfortable these days. And...I just want my girls. I want to hold them and rock them and mother them and start showing them the world.

Here's a quick video update. It pretty much just covers what I've already said here in my blog.
