Getting Induced on Saturday!

I saw both my MFM and OB today, and it has been decided that it's time for me to have my babies! My doctor scheduled an induction for 3:00am on Saturday morning. The reason we're having them so early is because BabyA has a small belly (in the bottom 5th percentile) and apparently that's an indication of restricted growth. I'll be 35w+3 days. So many emotions...excited to finally meet my darlings, nervous about them being born so early, a little scared of labor and delivery (induction does not sound fun).

Even though I'm concerned about them being born so early, we do have some things working in our favor. We've had our steroid shots and they've been great with their breathing practice during ultrasounds. I also know that girls normally do better than boys when it comes to preemies. Their weights are estimated to be around 5 and 6 lbs. I think I'm most concerned about their ability to eat, I wanted to nurse right away but maybe they won't even be able to suck/swallow properly yet. Who knows?!

I also really hope to be able to hold my babies after they're born. I don't know if they'll need to be taken away immediately or if I'll have some time with them.

I've read lots of stories from other moms who delivered at 35 weeks who were able to take their babies home right away and had no NICU time. I'm really hoping to be one of these! I do not want to go home without my children!

I can't believe I'll have them in two days! Starting to freak out!
