Memorial Day Weekend Fun!
We had a really lovely Memorial day Weekend last week! Saturday
night we had the grandparents watch the babies so John and I could go
watch a UFC fight at Native New Yorker with one of his friends. The best
part was the main event. I put some money on a fighter who I'd never
heard of because he was such a huge under dog, and if he won, I would
win 5x my money. He turned out to be an awesome fighter and dominated
all 5 rounds with a TKO to seal the deal. He's my new favorite fighter! On Sunday
I made the best pancakes ever! They were flavored with lemon
zezt/juice, vanilla, and were super mosit with sour cream/vanilla yogurt
in the wet ingredients. They were the bomb. Later we went to a family
BBQ, and everyone of course loved to see the girls. Monday was another day of BBQs and family. So fun!
The babies are getting more and more awesome every day. They are reaching for toys, trying to grab stuff, smiling more, and even laughing! Our 4 month appointment is next month, can't wait to see what the pediatrician says about them!
Cloth diapering is still our thing. We took a month long break to use up all the disposables I got at the baby shower, now we cloth diapers while we're at home, but use disposables when we're out or at night time. I'm too afraid that the cloth diapers would leak overnight, I'm certain they would. They leak during the day if we go more than 2 hours without changing. John has been totally on board with the cloth, even though I've told him lots of times he doesn't have to use them if it's too much trouble.
As far as their diet goes...we're still doing milk, and we've had to supplement with formula since they are eating more now (and my supply has dropped slightly). To save money, we get the giant box of Target brnad formula. I've heard good things about the Target formula, and it's almost half the price of name brand! Since I'm only supplementing with it, I figured it's not too important to get the expensivce name brand stuff. They get at least 75% milk, which is fine with me.
