Ramblings

Today was a great day, even though I had to get up at 5:20 to the sound of crying babies (nothing new there). After the "pre-morning" feeding I actually was able to get another hour-ish of sleep, then after feeding again at 8:30 I got some quality cuddle time with both babies while getting a little extra snooze time. John made me breakfast around 11:30 and then we spent the afternoon playing with babies, doing a few chores, and taking a family trip to Marshals, where I bought two pairs of shoes and two dresses along with some other decorative household items. John volunteeried for baby duty while I cooked dinner, which I love doing! I made homemade pasta sauce from fresh tomatoes, peppers, and onion from last week's Bountiful Basket. I decided the sauce needed some wine for extra depth and of course John and I split the remainder of the bottle, which contributed a great deal to my good mood. The babies were peacfully asleep by 7:30, which allowed John and I to enjoy an uninterrupted dinner and dessert over two episodes of Breaking Bad (yeah, we're just now watching it for the first time, now on season 2).

It's really blurry, but I got Valentina to smile during our cuddle session this morning and took a photo. I was telling her how much of a pretty baby she is. Maybe she likes her ego stroked ;)
