Bountiful Basket Challange
I
have a new challenge for myself for next week: to use up an entire
Bountiful Basket without letting anything go to waste. This is a tall
order for me, it’s something I try to do every time I get a basket, but I
never quite make it.
You may be wondering, What is a Bountiful Basket? Pretty much it’s a co-op where you order a bunch of produce every week for cheap and then pick up at a local site. More info can be found at www.bountifulbaskets.org.
My order (which I will pick up tomorrow) consists of a conventional basket and also an “Italian Pack”. The conventional basket will contain a whole bunch of fruits and vegetables (it’s a mystery which types I’ll get each week) and the Italian pack is supposed to contain extra veggies and herbs that are typical in Italian dishes. The goal is to use everything within a week! Luckily I have my fiancĂ© to help. I plan on blogging throughout the week to show what I get in my basket and how I use it, starting on tomorrow when I get my basket. I hope I get some avocados this week, and berries. Yummy!
