Twin Pregnancy - Week 25

It’s week 25 of my pregnancy! The babies continue to get stronger with their kicks and punches. I had both an OB and a MFM (Maternal Fetal Medicine) appointment this week. Everything is going great as far as everyone’s health goes!

The one complaint I have is that I have a really hard time getting comfy for sleep. Getting in a comfortable position can be hard. I’ve been told that extra pillows can help a lot, especially when placed between the knees or to support the belly. I tried using a wedge shaped pillow and a regular pillow but nothing has helped, I feel like the pillows are just annoying and get in the way! I first start on my right side, then flip to the left, and repeat about 20 times before I finally fall asleep. Then after awhile I have to get up to pee, then it’s another round of flip flopping! I do tend to have a sweet snack close to bedtime, maybe the sugar is partly to blame. I’ll try to cut that out and see if it helps at all. I wish I could just sleep on my back but they say that will cause a blockage of blood flow (or something) to the babies.
I am totally in nesting mode. Right now, I’m gathering all the stuff needed for the nursery, and doing some decoration. It's a long process...I figure if I keep chipping away at it we'll have it ready by the time we have the babies. One of the main things I'm trying to figure out is how to organize all this stuff! Where should the onesies go? Hung in the closet? Or folded in the dresser? Where should we put all the towels, bibs, pacifiers, etc? I think I'll try to put these items in the most logical places possible for now, but I'm sure there will be lots of re-shuffling before and after the babies come.

Now that I’m getting so big, I’m getting more comments from strangers. For instance, the coffee shop girl will ask “is this your first?” or the waitress at the restaurant will ask “when is the baby due?”. Whenever I get comments like this, I cannot help myself but to reply with “They are my first TWO babies!” or “There’s actually TWO babies in here!” John has been calling me a show off (jokingly), but I just can’t restrain myself!
