Twin Pregnancy - Week 24
It's week 24! I didn't realize this before, but at this stage of pregnancy, the babies are considered "viable" meaning they have a decent change for survival if they were born this early. Of course, we want them to bake in the oven as long as possible, but it's nice to know that if there were some disaster scenario and they had to come out, they could survive.
I'm still feeling really good except for sleeping! I have a hard time getting comfy. I've tried using a few pillows but they just seem to get in the way. I think I may just need to experiment more with different pillows and positions. The babies are also getting stronger with their kicks and punches. Sometimes it's downright startling! Woah babies!
Last weekend I was too busy to write my blog because we had my baby shower! It was so amazing. All my favorite people came. We did it in the backyard of my in-laws and it was perfect. My dear mom-in-law is super crafty and made wonderful decorations and food! My other family members and friends helped get together the various actives such as onesie decorating and baby food flavor guessing (by smell, not taste!). I also got some wonderful gifts! My favorites include the big items like the cribs and stroller, and also the start of our cloth diaper stash! I got lots of stuff for feeding and diapering the babies, and LOTS OF CLOTHES! No one can resist buying all the cute baby outfits except for me, I have not bought any clothes yet and I don't think I'll need to for at least the first year or so!
